Hourly pay

Turn an hourly rate and work schedule into gross income estimates.

Example values are shown. Change them to explore your situation.

How this estimate works

Annual gross pay = hourly rate × paid hours per week × paid weeks per year. Monthly average = annual gross pay ÷ 12.

Straight-time gross pay only, before taxes and deductions. Excludes overtime premiums, tips, bonuses, and benefits. Monthly average is not an actual paycheck amount; hours and paid weeks are assumed constant.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Bring the right numbers.

Estimates are enough to explore. Keep every money amount in the same selected currency.

  1. 01

    A straight-time hourly pay rate.

  2. 02

The paid hours in a typical week.

  3. 03

The number of paid weeks you expect during the year.

MAKE THE RESULT USEFUL

What to look for.

Use paid weeks rather than automatically counting every week of the year. Compare the annual total and monthly average, then use your actual take-home income for budgeting. Overtime and variable schedules need separate treatment.

TRY ANOTHER SCENARIO

Change one thing.
Notice the difference.

Change the paid weeks to account for an unpaid break, leaving your rate and weekly hours unchanged. The monthly figure averages the annual total; individual months can still differ.

A FEW THINGS YOU MAY BE WONDERING

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Is the result take-home pay?

No. It is gross income before taxes and other deductions. This calculator does not apply tax rules for your country or estimate benefits.

Does it include overtime?

No. Every hour uses the same rate. Overtime premiums, bonuses, tips, and variable schedules are outside this simple model.
